Association of Christian Camps and Conference Centers
We are the Association of Christian Camps and Conference Centers (ACCCC). Founded in 1996 by Kingdom Ventures, Inc. (Canada), we operate as an interdenominational ministry and are a member of Christian Camping International (CCI), an alliance of Christian camping associations throughout the world.
Headquartered in Kyiv, ACCCC serves Ukraine and partners with emerging camping ministries in Eastern Europe. We help build the Church by connecting the younger generation with Jesus and developing them into leaders who will strengthen local congregations for decades to come.
We build a professional community focused on helping churches use camps to connect with the next generation and develop them into leaders who will carry the Church forward. ACCCC's work centres on four pillars:
Training & Equipping: Through conferences, seminars, and workshops, we train over 2,000 camp leaders annually—equipping them to create experiences where young people meet Jesus and begin their journey toward leadership.
Resource Development: We provide essential tools and guidance—from legal advice to program consulting—helping churches build sustainable camping ministries that produce the next generation of church leaders.
Networking: We connect camps with volunteers, partners, and each other, strengthening the entire ecosystem of church-based camping and multiplying our collective impact.
Resilience in Crisis: Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, we support camps that have become centres of refuge and spiritual hope—spaces where young people encounter Jesus and discover God's purpose for their lives.
For over 30 years, ACCCC has been dedicated to building up the Body of Christ across the region:
2,500 Churches trained in ministry practices that connect them with children and youth
850,000 Campers reached—many encountering Jesus for the first time
30,000 Leaders equipped who now serve in churches, missions, and communities
400 Churches actively trained annually in using camping to reach the next generation
1:10+ Leverage Ratio: For every dollar invested, churches invest nearly $13—owned, self-sustaining ministry
The cycle is proven: Churches → Camps → Campers → Camp Leaders → Churches. Today's campers become tomorrow's counselors, then camp directors, then church leaders. This is how the Church is built—one generation investing in the next.
Our core ACCCC team works full-time to equip churches across Ukraine. These six staff members coordinate training events, develop resources, provide coaching to camp leaders, and serve the broader camping community throughout the region. Through their dedicated work, hundreds of camps receive the training and support they need to connect with the next generation effectively.
Our ministry is guided by a committed international Board of Trustees who provide wisdom, accountability, and strategic direction:
Gerald Huebner – Canada, Chair
Stanley John – USA
Timothy Duffield – Canada
[Name Withheld] – [Country]
Oleksii Skurikhin – Ukraine
Vladimir Shevchenko, CEO – ex officio, non-voting
The ACCCC Covenant Group is a consortium of 45 passionate camp leaders representing 30 camps across Ukraine. These volunteer leaders don't just receive training—they actively drive the ministry forward. Through their dedication and partnership, our team of six can effectively equip hundreds of camps annually. The Covenant Group exemplifies our participatory model, demonstrating that this work belongs to the entire community of camp leaders, not just to an office in Kyiv.
ACCCC also partners with and supports emerging national camping ministries in five other Eastern European countries. We work alongside local leaders in each nation, providing training, resources, and strategic support as they develop their own church-based camping movements. This partnership model ensures that the camping ministry in each country is locally owned and culturally relevant while benefiting from the shared wisdom and resources of the broader network.
Together—our Ukraine team, our international Board, our Covenant Group, and our regional partners—we are helping churches across Eastern Europe discover the powerful biblical pattern of using camps to reach children and youth with the Gospel and develop them into servant-leaders who will strengthen the Church for generations to come.
